Rust and Fortnite values cross-checked against independent sources on 20 October 2026. Rust is community-measured.
How do I convert Rust sensitivity to Fortnite?
To convert Rust sensitivity to Fortnite, multiply it by 20.252. Rust turns 0.1125° per mouse count and Fortnite turns 0.005555°, so Rust 0.3 becomes Fortnite 6.08%. Keep the same DPI and both settings take 33.9 cm of mouse movement for a full turn.
- Find your Rust sensitivity in Options → Controls → Look Sensitivity (or input.sensitivity in the F1 console).
- Multiply it by 20.252, or type it into the converter above with your DPI.
- In Fortnite, open Settings → Mouse & Keyboard → Mouse Sensitivity X and Mouse Sensitivity Y (set both to the same value) and enter the result as a percentage.
- Keep the same mouse DPI, or enter your new DPI in the converter.
Going the other way, a typical Fortnite setting of 6.5% is Rust 0.321, or 31.7 cm per 360° at 800 DPI.

Why Rust and Fortnite numbers differ
Rust runs on Unity and Fortnite on Unreal Engine 5. Fortnite numbers are 20.25× larger than Rust numbers for the same hand movement, because Fortnite turns less per mouse count. The Rust value is community-measured, because the developer has not published one.
Aim-down-sight sensitivity in Rust is a separate setting.
Why does my converted sensitivity feel different?
- Field of view: a wider FOV makes the screen appear to move slower even at the same cm/360.
- Scoped and ADS aim: this matches hipfire only. Fortnite shows sensitivity as a percentage. Targeting and scope sensitivity are separate percentages on top of it.
- Mouse acceleration: if Windows acceleration or a mouse app adds it, the same movement turns a different amount depending on speed. Turn it off.

What is Rust 0.3 in Fortnite?
Rust 0.3 is Fortnite 6.08% at the same DPI. Both are 33.9 cm per 360° at 800 DPI.
What is the Fortnite to Rust multiplier?
Multiply Fortnite sensitivity by 0.0494 to get Rust. Use the Fortnite to Rust converter for the full chart.
Does DPI change the Rust to Fortnite multiplier?
No. The ×20.252 multiplier holds at any DPI as long as you use the same DPI in both games. If you change DPI, divide by the ratio of new DPI to old DPI, or enter both values in the converter.
Where do I change sensitivity in Fortnite?
